Lady Eleanor is the kind of lady that would be considered a suitable wife for John Fallon, the Marquess of Tarline. Raytrena, who can normally read people like a book, cannot decide how she feels about this new grand lady that has intruded in her life. Not being able to resolve whether Eleanor is friend or foe, Raytrena is conflicted about the coy looks she keeps sending Tarline. But Lady Eleanor is the least of Raytrena’s problems. Starting to feel frustrated with the rigid rules of Hewitson Isle, Raytrena decide enough was enough after finding out Tarline had been keeping secrets from her. She decided that it was time to leave Hewitson Isle. But the arrival of Tanep has caused her to change her plans. Before she can go, she must first kill the dragon Kaanti, who is out to kill Tarline. Now her goals are to destroy the dragon and be off the isle before Tarline knows he is in danger. When Lady Eleanor finds out what she is up to, Raytrena worries that her plans have failed. She was, however, in for a surprise.
